Applicants must have a passion for dairying, a proven track record of creating good systems for people management and it’s essential to have already had experience running large herds. The 420 hectare farm has recently introduced the use of Halters and milks 1800 Friesian/Friesian cross cows through an 80 bale rotary dairy. The shed features a Waikato milking plant, automatic backing gate, Protrack, in shed meal/grain feeding facilities (4 heads), automatic cup removers and an automatic teat sprayer. There is also an adjacent herringbone shed complete with hoof trimming facilities. Target production for 2026/27 season is 830,000 kg MS.
