**Job Description** DRY STOCK - GENERAL FARM POSITION / STOCKMAN KNIGHTLANDS HEREFORDS – BAY OF PLENTY To Start January/February 2026. We are looking for a person to assist us in the running of our three farms. This position is based on a 70 Ha farm in Otamarakau. Approximately 40 min from Whakatane and 25min from Te Puke. The farm has been converted into a fattening beef block from a small dairy farm. This farm is run in conjunction with a 480 Ha and a 250 Ha farm 7-15km away. The farms calve down 650 commercial and registered Hereford cows, and sell Hereford bulls for the dairy industry. We make all of our own supplement. The successful applicant will reside on the 70 ha block but would be employed to work on all the farms as needed and you would be ultimately accountable to the Farm Owner. The successful applicant HAS to have prior farm experience, reliable and with a good work ethic. They will have to be happy to work by themselves at times and with others. Good communication is essential as they will need to liaise regularly with the farm owner and other workers. They will need 2-3 working dogs. Work roster would approx. be every second weekend off, with only essential work on the weekends on. **Jobs entails:** - pasture management, moving mobs daily. - stock management (drenching, weighing, calving etc) - general farm maintenance - fencing – both new and repairs - water maintenance – maintaining reticulated water supply - weed control by knapsack and tractor spraying. - break feeding - assist with hay/silage making - tractor driving EXPERIENCE ESSENTIAL (assisting with making silage/hay and feeding out with bale feeders etc.) **Skill Requirements Needed (no exceptions):** - confident riding motorbikes - experience with tractor driving, confident using independently. - FULL DRIVERS LICENCE essential.
