Are you passionate about dairy farming and want to develop professionally within the industry? We are large scale, established Contract Milkers moving onto a new farm next season. Due to our progressive employees career growth, we have the exciting opportunity for two new team members to join us in our venture. The farm has the following: - 1600 cows. 60-bale rotary with ACRs, auto teat spray and inshed feeding. System 3-4 with Halter technology. Located 10 minutes to Reporoa town and 25 minutes from Taupo. Dairy Farm Herd Manager

We are looking for a dairy farm Herd Manager who has a passion for the dairy field, has a willingness to go extra mile and works well in a team, follow rules and is calm and patient with the herd. It is essential that you have a strong work ethic, the ability to communicate effectively with the team, and drive to continuously learn and upskill to complete jobs to the highest standard. ONLY APPLY IF YOU ARE CURRENTLY LIVING IN NEW ZEALAND. Must have at least 2 years proven experience in New Zealand in the following areas: - Tractor driving - Loading and feeding out with silage wagon - Mating - Heat detection to a high level (No collars are used on farm) - Lame cows, able to identify, treat and trim lame cows - Treat Sick cows, able to identify and treat a variety of health issues in cows and record treatments - Pasture experience doing pasture walks an advantage. Your duties will include, but not limited to: milking, calf rearing, animal health, irrigation, weeding control, shed hygiene and other general farm tasks. You must be able to pass police check and pre-employment drug test. Provide at least 2 references. Shared accommodation on farm, smoke free and no pets.
