One of our client is looking for a Dairy Farm Assistants to join a busy farm in Taupo. Some of your tasks related to this position would be: - Assists milking process. Follows procedure to produce high quality milk. - Assists in the safe handling of animals, reports any health and welfare issues as per farm policy. - Controls weeds. Sets break fences and feeds out as directed. - Assists with nutrient, effluent and water management as directed by farm policy. - Safely uses and maintains vehicles on the farm. The right applicant will be punctual, reliable and have good communication skills. Previous farming experience is preferred but not essential as proper training will be provided to the right candidate. This is a drug-free work zone and the applicant will need to be comfortable to undergo a drug test if ever requested. Police vetting may also be requested. You should be able to provide previous work references. You should a valid driving license. Salary: $24 per hour with $250 per week rent deduction. This is a full-time position with a minimum 30 hours per week commitment. You should be physically fit to lift 20 kg weight and to perform farm duties. No pets allowed.
