The Opportunity
As Farm Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the farming operation, working closely with the owners who live off farm and supporting a small, capable team. This role suits someone who is hands‑on, organised, and passionate about continuous improvement in both people and farm systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead day‑to‑day management of sheep, beef, and deer operations
  • Plan and coordinate stock rotations, feed budgets, and seasonal priorities
  • Maintain high standards of animal health, welfare, and handling
  • Oversee fencing, general farm maintenance, and infrastructure development
  • Support velvet production systems and ensure compliance with NZFAP standards
  • Manage and mentor staff, fostering a positive and safe team culture
  • Work closely with the owners on planning, budgets, and farm performance
  • Uphold strong environmental and community values

About You
You are an experienced livestock operator with proven capability in managing or leading on a sheep and beef, and possibly deer farming operation. You enjoy working with people, take pride in well-run systems, and have an eye for detail—especially around stock performance and feed planning.
