We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Farm Manager to lead a team of three staff members. This role requires someone with strong time management skills, excellent attention to detail, and a genuine passion for livestock and farming operations. The successful candidate will be someone who is driven, energetic, and interested in progressing their career. Our operation is an 800-cow autumn calving farm, equipped with a herd home, mixer wagon, and a 60-bail rotary shed with ACRs and in-shed drafting technology. We operate a 6-on, 2-off roster for six months of the year, and a 9-on, 3-off roster for the remaining six months. Key requirements for this role include: - Strong leadership and team management skills - Competence with farm machinery - Good computer literacy, including the ability to complete fortnightly reports - Experience using Herd Manager (in-shed drafting system) or similar technology You will work closely with the farm owner, who will provide support through regular farm walks and assist with feed budgeting. This role would suit someone who enjoys the Northland lifestyle and outdoor activities such as fishing, hunting, and diving, and who takes pride in animal welfare and farm performance. Brightview Farms are on the lookout for a Block Manager for our beef and Dairy support blocks. Our farming operation is located in Western Southland, with the Dairy and Drystock/Support blocks located within 5 minutes of the Wairio/Nightcaps area. We are looking for a Unit Manager to join our team on a 840 cow farm, 54 bail Rotary, ACR, in shed feeding and Allflex Cow collars. You will need to be confident in driving a tractor with a silage wagon and mower, have at least 5 years experience, understand pasture management, take pride in your work and have good animal health practices. This role will be directly working with the Sharemilker, with opportunities to progress in the future to full management for the right person. We are looking for an honest tidy person to manage/work on our 380-fresain cow farm. There is an opportunity for your partner to do the calf rearing in spring 1 to 2 hrs per morning and casual relief milking. The cowshed is a 30ashb shed. The position for manager is fulltime and comes with a tidy 3-to-4-bedroom house; it has a large stand-alone shed/garage and attached carport to the house. Primary and secondary schools are within 5kms. This farm is a grass-based system. The role will also have responsibility for all day to day maintenance on the property, fencing, weed control and general farm maintenance. There is also ongoing development work to be done on part of the farm that has been recently acquired so fencing skills are a necessity. The role also has a requirement to assist with the tractor work on both properties, including cultivation, seeding, mowing, and fertiliser. You’ll need a commitment to healthy and safe work and be capable of maintaining and operating our modern equipment. You need to have high standards and keep our farm, machinery and vehicles in good order. As farm owners we’ll be on farm and hands-on.
