We are looking for a super star calf rearer to join our team for the 2026 spring calving season. We calve down 750 cows in spring and you will be solely responsible for the calves once they enter the calf sheds. This includes 150 replacements, 50 Bull calves and the rest are bobbies. Previous experience with large scale calf rearing is preferred as this is a full on role with a few steps involved within the replacements. We are looking for a reliable milk harvester for the start of calving to the end of mating (1/8/26 - 31/12/26) to assist the contract milker during the peak season. The opportunity to go onto a casual contract after the fixed term is available to the right person. We are located 5 mins from Eltham and 10 mins from Stratford. We can offer variable hours with a minimum of 30 hours a fortnight at a minimum of $30 per hour. Higher hourly rate can be negotiated on experience. We will be milking 375 Friesian cows at peak through a 44 bail rotary with in shed feed. Key responsibilities include: - Efficiently harvesting milk - Keeping shed clean - Identifying cows with health issues - Handling stock calmly. Prior experience is preferred. We are looking for a milker to milk every afternoon and every second weekend (including Friday) we have 350 Holsteins milked in a 34 cup rotary. We are a contract milking couple due to have our second child in April. We are looking to hire a milker to either start next season or early Feb this season but are flexible. Will be 5 days a week doing both am and pm milkings, this will be between 6-8+ hours a day depending on time of the season. We milk 450 cows through a 32ashb with in shed feeding and acrs, will be sole charge except over calving someone will be there to help with heifers and colostrum’s. We will be milking right up till June and will have some work to fill hours over the dry period. Accommodation on farm is a one bedroom tiny home so it is suited for a single or couple, rent is $300 which includes gas and power.

We are seeking a Milk Harvester to work on our 250ha farm, 8 minutes north of Opunake. We milk 700 cows through a 60 bale rotary shed, which also has cup removers, auto drafting, auto teat sprayer as well as Cow Manager. We milk twice daily. We use a roster system which consists of three staff members currently but are wanting to add a milk harvester into our system too. The successful applicant will be a New Zealand resident, have experience, good communication skills, great time management, show initiative and work well in a team environment.
