We are looking for a milker to milk every afternoon and every second weekend (including Friday) we have 350 Holsteins milked in a 34 cup rotary. Cows just need to be brought in off the feed pad every milking. They are very quiet cows and you will need to have excellent stockmanship with them. 3 bedroom house available. We are a contract milking couple due to have our second child in April. We are looking to hire a milker to either start next season or early Feb this season but are flexible. Will be 5 days a week doing both am and pm milkings, this will be between 6-8+ hours a day depending on time of the season. We milk 450 cows through a 32ashb with in shed feeding and acrs, will be sole charge except over calving someone will be there to help with heifers and colostrum’s. We will be milking right up till June and will have some work to fill hours over the dry period. Accommodation on farm is a one bedroom tiny home so it is suited for a single or couple, rent is $300 which includes gas and power.

We are seeking a Milk Harvester to work on our 250ha farm, 8 minutes north of Opunake. We milk 700 cows through a 60 bale rotary shed, which also has cup removers, auto drafting, auto teat sprayer as well as Cow Manager. We milk twice daily. We use a roster system which consists of three staff members currently but are wanting to add a milk harvester into our system too. The successful applicant will be a New Zealand resident, have experience, good communication skills, great time management, show initiative and work well in a team environment.
