Milk Harvester (Dairy Shed Manager)
We are looking for a milking shed super star! Somebody who is calm tempered with cows. Capable of noticing basic animal health issues (eg, mastitis, lameness, generally sick looking cows) Good at communicating with team members and the management team. Comfortable recording information about the cowshed and animals. Has a positive attitude toward their work, the animals, and the rest of the team. Good at keeping high standards with milking plant hygiene. If you love milking cows and enjoy having a space that you can be responsible for, this is the job for you! We want somebody to milk twice/day from July-December and then 10 in 7 for the rest of the season, with cow shed hygiene, maintenance and record keeping (can be taught) available during the quieter periods. The Farm has a 60 bale Rotary Cowshed with automatic cup removers, protrac and automatic teat sprayers. 950 cows Team of 5 staff 289 ha Flat farm Technology on the farm includes Halter, Minda and Protrac software in cowshed.
