We are looking for a super star calf rearer to join our team for the 2026 spring calving season. We calve down 750 cows in spring and you will be solely responsible for the calves once they enter the calf sheds. This includes 150 replacements, 50 Bull calves and the rest are bobbies. Previous experience with large scale calf rearing is preferred as this is a full on role with a few steps involved within the replacements. We are a contract milking couple due to have our second child in April. We are looking to hire a milker to either start next season or early Feb this season but are flexible. Will be 5 days a week doing both am and pm milkings, this will be between 6-8+ hours a day depending on time of the season. We milk 450 cows through a 32ashb with in shed feeding and acrs, will be sole charge except over calving someone will be there to help with heifers and colostrum’s. We will be milking right up till June and will have some work to fill hours over the dry period. Accommodation on farm is a one bedroom tiny home so it is suited for a single or couple, rent is $300 which includes gas and power.
