The farm currently includes 167 cows on 54 ha effective of flat land with good shade, fenced and planted creeks. The shed is a 16 a side herringbone. Production average for the last 3 years: 54000 KgMS Accommodation is an on farm house with garden area. Position start date: 1/06/2026 The farm owners’ priority is the condition of the cows and we are always keen to embrace new ethical farming practices. The successful candidate should be a self-starter with recent sole-charge experience. Candidates must be living in NZ with citizenship or residency and be available for an on-farm interview. An opportunity has become available for a LOSM position to join our family business in the 2026/2027 season. The farm is located in the Stratford area, which is 7km from Stratford town. This position is perfect for a couple or one person with casual staff to milk 250 cows on a 90ha pasture-based dairy farm with additional palm kernel top up if required. Dairy shed is a 28 rotary with cup removers and on platform teat spraying. There are no farm costs except for the motorbike.
