Tractor Driver and Fencer General

Kia hiwa rā! We are seeking a Tractor Driver and Fencer General to join our Ngāi Tahu Farming team in Culverden! This is an exciting opportunity to work on a 770ha irrigated platform, finishing approximately 4,000 head of beef cattle annually and grazing 1,500 replacements. Reporting to the Grazing Manager, you’ll play a key role in operating and maintaining tractors and farm equipment, repairing fences, and assisting with stock management — all while contributing to our kaupapa of sustaining land and water so our people prosper.
He kōrero mōu – About you:
- Experience operating tractors and farm equipment (essential)
- Ideally, experience building and maintaining fences
- Proven ability in stock and pasture management
- Strong planning and organisational skills
- Motivated team player who can take the lead when required
- Openness to learning and development
- Respect for Māori cultural values and customs (Tikanga)
- Affinity for the aspirations of Ngāi Tahu whānui
