We are seeking a keen and motivated person to manage our 132ha, 360 cow dairy farm. The farm is mainly flat with some rolling hills. It is a low system, low stress operation. The successful applicant would be responsible not just for the milk harvesting, pasture management, weed control but also the day to day management of a staff member. The 3 bedroom home on the farm is 5 minutes from the local township with a primary school and childcare centre. It is 20 minutes from Dannevirke. We are open to tailoring the position to suit the right person.

Dairy Farm Manager for 360Cow dairy operation located Pahiatua NZ. The farm is 126 hectares effective with an adjacent 52 hectare runoff. The role has responsibility over both blocks. 360 cows are peak milked with R1 and R2 year hfrs grazed on the adjacent runoff. 2026 Season 170,000kgMS target 2025 Season 161,500kgMS Target 2027 is 170,000kgMS The role will require the following: - Great Stockmanship and the ability to feed cows well. These cows are doing close to 500kgMS/cow - The desire to grow out young stock well. Young stock are grazed at the runoff and the responsibility of the Farm Manager. - Good understanding of Animal Health and experience with diagnosis and treatment of common Cow challenges. - A sound understanding of cowshed management including plant hygiene/ food safety standards. - Strong pasture management skills - willing to plate farm fortnightly. - Ability to lead and communicate well with staff - 2Ic and relief staff - A willingness to communicate actively with the farm owners and a willingness to be coached by farm owners. - Sound understanding of technology - use of Minda/Fonterra Dairy Diary/Resolution. - Willingness to capture data to support good decision making. The farm is part of a larger family-owned operation milking 1400 cows in North of Pahiatua. You will be part of a larger team which has the ability to provide support when required. We enjoy watching staff develop and progress. **The Farm** Tangimate is a 151ha, 370 cow split calving farm, with a fully automated 50 bale rotary, including ‘milkhub’ (cow management, milk sensors – litres & conductivity), auto drafting, walk over weighing, ACRs, auto teat spraying, in shed meal feeding and Allflex collars. The farm is located on the corner of Waiterere Beach Road and State Highway 1, with Levin, Foxton and Waiterere Beach a short distance away. Poroutawhao Primary School is just down the road, with Secondary Schools in both Levin and Foxton. **The Role** Reporting to the Sharemilker, you’ll be responsible for the day to day running of the farm, supported by staff shared with the neighbouring dairy farm.
