We are looking for a Unit Manager to join our team on a 840 cow farm, 54 bail Rotary, ACR, in shed feeding and Allflex Cow collars. You will need to be confident in driving a tractor with a silage wagon and mower, have at least 5 years experience, understand pasture management, take pride in your work and have good animal health practices. This role will be directly working with the Sharemilker, with opportunities to progress in the future to full management for the right person. There is an opportunity for a partner to calf rear and relief milk during the season. We offer a 7 on 2 off Roster, Warm 3 bedroom home, a great team environment to work with and competitive salary. Senior Farm Assistant/2ic position available working alongside farm owners and one other staff member. 300 spring calving cows. 100 Autumn calving cows. TAD. 36 ASHB. System 4 with silage, maize and PKE. The applicant must be self-motivated, reliable and honest person to help with general farm duties and milking cows. Have at least 3 years NZ experience. Keen to progress. Have basic knowledge and understanding of farm duties, milking, animal health, effluent management, and calf rearing. Must have basic tractor experience. We are looking for an honest tidy person to manage/work on our 380-fresain cow farm. There is an opportunity for your partner to do the calf rearing in spring 1 to 2 hrs per morning and casual relief milking. The cowshed is a 30ashb shed. The position for manager is fulltime and comes with a tidy 3-to-4-bedroom house; it has a large stand-alone shed/garage and attached carport to the house. Primary and secondary schools are within 5kms. This farm is a grass-based system. The role includes some sole charge work while the manager is on leave so experience is a must. The role will also have responsibility for all day to day maintenance on the property, fencing, weed control and general farm maintenance. There is also ongoing development work to be done on part of the farm that has been recently acquired so fencing skills are a necessity. The role also has a requirement to assist with the tractor work on both properties, including cultivation, seeding, mowing, and fertiliser. We are looking for a Farm Manager to join our team in the Mayfield/Carew Area for the upcoming Dairy Season. The Manager will be responsible for the daily operation of the shed and running of the 600 cow farm. The farm is fully spray irrigated with a 40 ASHB Shed with in-shed feeding and Protrak. It is important that the Manager is able to work with us to meet the farms targets while making sure that it is a positive and enjoyable environment for all staff.
